Aris Kefalogiannis

VP for Sales & Marketing

Aris is an olive oil connoisseur, seasoned executive, entrepreneur, and innovator in the fine foods’ world. He has over 25 years experience, as head of GAEA, the most succesful Greek olive oil brand internationally. As CEO of GAEA, he established distribution channels in 35 international markets, whereas he created specialty food import & distribution subsidiaries in the USA and Russia with local partners. In terms of innovation he created the 1st olive snack in the world, the 1st carbon neutral olive oil and the 1st olive oil in the world with an EFSA health claim, rich in polyphenols. He also led GAEA to become the 1st Greek company ever to win the import/export category in 2013 at the EBA. Finally, he created the Olive Oil Bar, where he educates people on the benefits of extra virgin olive oil.

Dr. dimitrios kouretas

VP for Research & Development

Dr. Kouretas is a Professor of Animal Physiology-Toxicology and Director of the Laboratory of Animal Physiology of the department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Thessaly. His research interests focus on the molecular mechanisms of antioxidant activity of plant phenolics, the redox and molecular mechanisms involved in cellular adaptations during exercise, and the functional food development. He has co-authored more than 240 articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and has been cited over 13.000 times with an H-index of 66. He has been an EU expert on the ‘FoodforLife’ technology platform from 2007-2020. In 2013-14 he was Deputy Rector of the University of Thessaly and since 2018 a member of the expert committee of the European Commission on Chemical and Nutrition Crisis. Finally, he is Founder and Scientific Associate of FoodOxys PC.

Dr. Fotios tekos

Managing Director

Dr. Tekos is a biochemist-biotechnologist and an entrepreneur. He graduated with a distinction from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly for his overall performance during his undergraduate studies. He is a graduate of the postgraduate program of Toxicology of the University of Thessaly. He received his PhD in Biochemistry with Honors from the University of Thessaly. He has co-authored 31 articles, published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals. Furthermore he has co-authored the book ‘Intermittent fasting and prevention of diseases’. Fotis is the co-founder and CEO of FoodOxys PC.
